A doula to becoming
Pressing my ear to the ground and listening to the heartbeat, the sound of the seasons changing, aligning my breath, aligning my rhythms— because God (The Divine), Ourselves, and The Earth are one. The Divine’s breath is in each and every one of us; we were birthed into existence through breath and The Earth.
This is a reminder that we are grounded here and present in this home— our vessels and the Earth.
An ode to the art of being held through transition.

A Letter From The Guide
Hello beloveds.
My name is I’Nekequa Holland (Tiffany K)—a wife, a mother, author, and Earth Steward. My life has been shaped by listening to the soil beneath my feet, to the stirrings within my own soul, and to the steady voice of God who breathes life into all things.
I hold many titles—Certified Meditation Coach, Spiritual Counselor, Trauma & Recovery Practitioner, Mental Health Practitioner— but beyond all of these, I am simply a spirit in a human vessel, devoted to the slow work of becoming at home in myself, in God, and in this Earth we share.
I believe in healing that is breaking and grounded, healing that honors the breath of God within us, and the soil from which we were formed. My work is an offering of presence—tending to the places where Spirit and Earth, body and soul, can be nourished back to wholeness.
The Story of Being Held Through Transition
Soil and Self was born as a sanctuary of remembrance. It carries a simple truth: the Divine’s breath turned soil into self. We are living, breathing reminders that spirit and earth are not separate, but deeply interwoven.
This space exists to honor that sacred connection. It is a soft ground where stillness and reflection take root. A place where poetry, prose, and prayer remind us that our bodies and souls are vessels of both soil and Spirit, held together by God’s love.
To be “held through transition” is the heartbeat of Soil and Self. It is the tender art of allowing God’s presence to steady us in seasons of change—whether loss, healing, or renewal. Here, the invitation is not to rush or strive, but to pause, breathe, and be restored.
Your presence here is cherished. May this space water your spirit, steady your breath, and remind you of the holy ground beneath your feet.
May you be well, dear beloved.
