The Breath, The Soil, and The Soul
I. The Story
The Breath, The Soil, and The Soul
My name is Tiffany Foster. I am a Disciple of Anokeesed, a wife, a mother, an author, and a Student Midwife. But in the quiet places where life begins and transitions take root, I serve at the sacred intersection of body, Spirit, and soil.
My life has been shaped by the practice of listening — to the soil beneath my feet, to the wisdom of the Holy Spirit moving through creation, and to the steady voice of the Father who breathes life into dust. I believe that when the Divine's breath turned soil into self, a sacred covenant was formed: we are not separate from the Earth, but deeply interwoven with it. In every body, in every birth, in every season of becoming — God's breath still moves through clay.
Soil and Self is the expression of that belief.
I serve mothers, women, and birthkeepers who are walking through sacred thresholds — pregnancy, birth, postpartum, healing, and spiritual restoration. My work is rooted in Christ (Anokeesed), grounded in the wisdom of the Earth, and centered in intimacy and wholeness.
This is your doula, and future midwife.
II. The Calling
A Wholistic Calling
As a Disciple, Student Midwife, and Doula, I view the body as a sacred vessel and birth as a holy liturgy. I believe Anokeesed called us to care for the whole person. Our physical safety, our emotional depths, social liturgy, and our spiritual height are not separate compartments — they are a single, sacred tapestry.
I have spent my years gathering the tools to tend this tapestry:
As a Student Midwife, Holistic Birth Doula, Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, and Trauma Practitioner, I honor the biological miracle of birth and the necessity of safe, informed care. Birth is not only physical. It is spiritual. It is neurological. It is ancestral. It is sacred.
As a student of the Earth's pharmacy, I integrate Herbalism and Ayurvedic wisdom, believing that the same God who breathed life into the soil tucked healing into the leaves, roots, and resins of the plants. I honor the first 40 days as holy ground. Through warm foods, rest rituals, breath, plant support, and attentive care, I help mothers recover in ways that protect both their body and spirit.
As a Spiritual Counselor and Pastor's Beloved (Wife), I offer continuous emotional support, prayer, and spiritual presence during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and throughout the different stages of womanhood — serving as a covering for mothers and women walking through the waters and fire of transition.
III. The Heartbeat
The Art of Being Held Through Transition
To be "held through transition" is the heartbeat of my work. It is the tender art of allowing God's presence to steady us when the ground feels like it is shifting.
Whether you are in the threshold of labor or the tender "fourth trimester," I provide a space where you are physically supported, emotionally seen, and spiritually anchored.
I offer a community of remembrance — a place where we honor the "Servant Mother" (Earth) and learn to tend to the next generation without losing our connection to the land, its rhythms, or to Anokeesed.
Through the Postpartum Nesting Blueprint and the Nectar Apothecary, and teachings such as To Worship the Father, Honor the Mother and Sunday Brunch: A Gathering for Mothers, Women, and Birthkeepers, I provide gentle maps and medicines needed to navigate the slow, holy work of becoming.
IV. The Space
Soil and Self: A Sanctuary of Remembrance
Soil and Self was born as a sanctuary of remembrance — soft ground for women who wish to return to the rhythms of the Creator. It is a space for poetry, prose, and prayer — a reminder that we are birthed into existence through Breath and Earth, and we are held together by a Love that never lets go.
Whether through doula care, spiritual counsel, or herbal support, my work is about helping women come home — to God, to their bodies, and to the ground beneath their feet. It is about reconnecting with Christ at the center, restoring the nervous system, reclaiming the sacredness of the body, rooting into Earth rhythms without abandoning faith, and healing trauma through breath, presence, and plant wisdom.
Your presence here is cherished. May this space water your spirit, steady your breath, and remind you of the holy ground beneath your feet.
May you be well, dear beloved.
— Tiffany
V. From Those Who Have Been Held
Words from the Beloved
She was my virtual birth doula a few years back, and I really enjoyed her presence. She was very supportive, coached me through, and even provided information, meal plans, and other personalized offerings that really helped me and my spouse. Blessed that she was there, and I pray I get the opportunity to work with her again in the future. May God bless her and her family.

Tiffany is truly precious and her heart shows through in her doula work. I believe she was designed to be a birthworker — she is a beautiful guardian of the threshold, standing between Heaven and Earth. She was both my classmate becoming a doula and my actual doula when it came to me having my second child. You won't regret having her as a friend, doula, midwife — you may fall in love with her. Bless you, my friend.
