Hiro Diapers
As an Earth Steward and a mother, I believe that how we nurture our children should never come at the expense of the land they will inherit. Hiro Diapers bridges the gap between high-performance care and a deep devotion to the soil, allowing me to protect my baby’s skin while staying faithful to the rhythms of the Servant Mother, Earth. It is more than a product; it is a daily ritual of care for both my child(ren) and the planet we call home.
The Partnership
I am a mother, a Student Nurse-Midwife, and a storyteller deeply rooted in the belief that our bodies and the Earth are one. Through my work with 'Soil and Self,' I’ve dedicated my life to being a faithful steward of the Servant Mother, Mother Earth, and a Disciple of the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, understanding that how we treat the soil directly impacts how we nourish ourselves and our children.
I wanted to partner with Hiro Diapers because, for me, sustainability isn't just a preference—it’s a devotion. In the early years of motherhood, it’s so easy to feel a disconnect between the love we have for our babies and the waste we leave behind in their names. I love that Hiro offers a way out of that conflict. Their diapers feel like an extension of the care I strive to provide: they are gentle on the new skin I’ve began to spend my life protecting as a doula and student midwife, and they honor the Earth by returning to it gracefully rather than lingering in a landfill for centuries.
I love that I get the honor to advocate for a future where our children can grow up on a planet that was respected by the very products that raised them. I want to help other families see that choosing Hiro is a beautiful way to practice Earth stewardship from the very first breath.

Nature’s Favorite Diaper: A New Paradigm
As parents and stewards, we often face a quiet conflict: the deep desire to protect our children's future while navigating the modern reality of convenience. Every baby will use approximately 6,000 diapers in their lifetime—traditionally, these vessels of waste sit in landfills for over 400 years. This means the first disposable diaper ever created is still here, waiting. To parent in a new paradigm is to recognize that the health of our family units and the health of Mother Earth are one and the same.
HIRO is a revolutionary, nature-based response to this global plastic crisis. By harnessing ancient fungi technology, HIRO has created a high-performance diaper that doesn't just "sit" in the earth—it returns to it. These are the only unbleached diapers on the market, crafted from blanket-soft cotton and softwood fluff, designed to be as gentle on the skin as they are on the soil. It is a commitment to a future where our children grow up on a planet that was respected by the very products that raised them.

HIRO utilizes revolutionary Mycodigestible™ technology—ancient fungi that are engineered to break down soft plastics in under 12 months once they hit the landfill. In the lab, these "friendly fungi" start the process of returning the diaper to the earth in as little as six months. While traditional diapers take centuries to decompose, HIRO is designed to work with the natural rhythms of the ecosystem.
-
This is the world’s first and only unbleached diaper. Most diapers use toxic chlorine bleaching and chemical wetness indicators, but HIRO honors the sanctity of your baby’s skin. They are hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, and 100% free from fragrances, lotions, latex, dyes, parabens, and prints. Made with 50% less plastic than leading brands, they offer 12-hour, super-absorbent protection that is 5x drier, ensuring your baby stays dry while the materials stay pure.

Beyond a better diaper, HIRO is about a more conscious way of life. We believe in high performance while radically rethinking waste. HIRO encourages families to explore EasyEC (Elimination Communication) to help babies transition out of diapers by 12 to 18 months. By combining the world's most eco-friendly disposable option with a mindset of "using less," we reduce the burden on our landfills and practice true stewardship of the land.
